At the age of 15 he began to work. He worked for 11 years as a salesman, a reporter and an editor of a magazine.
Then he worked in a bank. Some time later he was accused of stealing money from the bank. But that was not true. Yet he was put into prison for three and half years. He began to write his short stories and prison. O'Henry is famous for his short stories with a happy end.
