У даній роботі розглядаються когнітивно-прагматичні властивості концепту «насмішка». Даний концепт є досить частотним в процесі спілкування, однак, як свідчить аналіз близьких за темою робіт, він на даний момент залишається маловивченим.
2. Когнітивно-прагматичні властивості концепту «насмішка»
У процесі спілкування нерідко виникає ситуація, коли одному партнеру спілкування хотілося б пожартувати. Досить часто жарт приймає іронічний або навіть образливий характер і тоді вона стає насмішкою.
В англійській мові існує цілий синонімічний ряд мовних засобів, що виражають даний концепт. У оксфордському словнику англійської мови (OALD) вони мають наступні тлумачення:
mock - v. 1. To laugh at sb / sth in an unkind way, esp by copying what they say or do; syn - make fun of: He s always mocking at my French accent; 2. To show no respect for sth; adj.: not sincere, syn - sham: mock horror / surprise; 3. That is a copy of sth, not real: a mock election / interview, examination (= used to practise for real one); n. (Disapproving) an action, a decision, etc. that is a failure and that is not as it is supposed to be; mocking - adj (behavior, an expression etc.) showing that you think sb / sth is ridiculous; syn - contemptuous: a mocking smile [OALD, 2005:983];
jeer (at) - v. to laugh at sb or shout rude remarks at them to show that you dorespect them; syn - taunt: a jeering crowd; na rude remark that sb shouts at sb else to show their disrespect [OALD, 2005:1206];
taunt - to try to make sb angry or upset by saying unpleasant things about them, laughing at their failures etc [OALD, 2005:1572];
jibe (at)= gibe - n. an unkind or insulting remark about sb; v. to say sth that is intended to embarrass sb or make them look silly [OALD, 2005:831];
scoff - v. to talk about sb / sth in a way that makes it clear that you think they are stupid or ridiculous; syn - mock v. to eat a lot of sth quickly [OALD, 2005:1358];
